Armstrong World Industries is moving into a new industrial estate in western Sydney’s Greystanes.

The vinyl-flooring products maker recently signed a new lease for Unit 4, 1 Basalt Road in the new Quarry development for 3,778 sqm space at a rental rate of $120 per sqm. The new building is nearly double the size of its previous location, according to Knight Frank’s Ryan Carey, who brokered the deal.

The recently completed Quarry at Greystanes is managed by DEXUS Property Group.

The Quarry at Greystanes is only 15-20 minutes from Armstrong’s previous address, meaning minimal disruption to staff.

“Armstrong’s move is part of a growing trend, as we’re seeing more and more companies moving out older buildings in the inner or central west in search of newer, more efficient premises,” Carey said.

Armstrong will join a number of firms at Quarry at Greystanes such as Toshiba, Reece, Roche, Blackwoods, Yusen, UPS and Makita.

Quarry has direct access to the M4 and M7 motorways, and apart from its modern facilities, features rain water harvesting/recycling and solar hot water.
