High rise residential developer Tim GURNER has bought two Hamilton, Brisbane riverfront sites for a $170 million development.

They take his Brisbane project pipeline to $1 billion plus.

The Melbourne developer secured 80 and 92 Kingsford Smith Drive for about $13 million, telling the Australian Financial Review they "present an incredible opportunity."

He suggests the sites, located within three kilometres of the CBD, are of an iconic nature.

Elenberg Fraser is designing the new project which will include 280 luxury apartments.

GURNER's most recent purchase were two sites in Brisbane's Fortitude Valley.

His initial project FV has already seen around 1000 apartments worth $650 million sold.
