47 registered bidders, 130k above reserve - and this, ladies and gentlemen, is why we go to auction! tweeted Andrew Cooley after last weekend's big auction.

It was a full brick three bedroom cottage on 626 square metres in walking distance to the station.

There was also the chance to reap the rewards of a potential duplex subject to council approval.

There are no Padstow properties for sale this weekend, according to Australian Property Monitors.
