A core CBD Townsville offering, with 8,895 square metres across seven storeys, has been listed adjoining the targeted $136.6 million Townsville City Waterfront priority development area.

Colliers International Townsville’s associate director of commercial and industrial, Neville Smith, said this property offered 95 metre frontage to Townsville’s CBD Flinders Street Mall and parallel Odgen Street.

“This regional trophy asset fronts the Townsville City Waterfront priority development area, meaning that the buyer will be investing in a precinct, and a city, targeted for accelerated development with a focus on economic growth,” Mr Smith said.

The property – 280 Flinders Street Central, better known as Northtown Complex – hosts a mix of commercial and retail tenants, including Townsville City Council City Library, BOQ, and ASX Listed 1300 Smiles.

The Townsville City Waterfront priority development area is a $136.6 million project targeting the waterfront area Ross Creek, bordering Ogden Street and the CBD where Northtown Complex is located.

The project will be the most significant waterfront redevelopment since Townsville’s award-winning Strand redevelopment, and will accelerate development in the area with a focus on economic growth and accommodating the 30,000 people expected to be living, working and visiting Townsville’s CBD by 2030.

The property is for sale via Colliers International Townsville.
