Harrolds secures Melbourne lane way mill offering

Alexander Poulakis, from the high-end fashion house Harrolds, has secured a dilapidated heritage Melbourne CBD offering, with intentions for a mixed-use retail, food-hospitality and office lane way complex.
It is Melbourne's last surviving flour mill set amid the once-thriving garment manufacturing industry.
The three-level commercial building at 2 Mill Place, off Flinders Lane, near University Arcade, dates back to the 1840s.
It sold at recent CBRE auction for $4.02 million.
Its vendor syndicate included Melbourne architect Peter Christoff.
The building was once the outlet of the Flemington Meat Preserving Company.
It is one of 233 Melbourne lane ways.
