The Press Club and Gazi premises for sale

Three Melbourne hospitality premises leased by chef George Calombaris have been listed for sale by his landlord and business parter, George Sykiois.

They host Calombaris’ restaurants Gazi, The Press Club and The Press Club Projects.

Located at 2 Exhibition Street and 52 & 72 Flinders Street, the sale comprises three titles on one long term lease to Calombaris' flagship businesses, under the Made Establishment banner.

There are reported expectations of around $9 million.

Mr Calombaris' popular restaurants are returning about $420,000 net annual rent.

The move has come not long after Calombaris engaged March Studios to undertake a $3 million refurbishment of the three tenancies.

The expressions of interest process closes June 25.

CBRE in conjunction with Fitzroys have secured early interest already been from private owners in the area as well as syndicates of doctors and lawyers looking to place their funds into a secure long term investment.
