The American retailer J.Crew is reportedly the latest global retailer to head towards Australia.

According to the ragtrader website, citing a fashion forecast from IBISWorld, J.Crew will follow the likes of Zara, H&M, Sephora, Uniqlo and Topshop to set up shop Down Under.

IBISWorld suggest Marks & Spencer is also in line to seek Australia outlets.

IBISWorld reckons Australia's love affair with affordable fashion-forward clothing has fuelled strong industry growth over the past five years, with revenue rising by an estimated 8.7% annualised to reach $1.1 billion in 2013-14.

"Fast fashion retailing is a relatively new concept and has been driven by persistent consumer demand for new styles and designs on an increasingly frequent basis," IBISWorld advise.
