The longtime former Trent Nathan chief Shane Barr, now executive chairman at Form Corp Pty Ltd, has sold his Transvaal Avenue holding.

Shane Barr bought the shop with apartment above in 2007 for $3.08 million from the Cosgrove retail family.

There were $4.8 million expectations through Ray White on the undisclosed pre-auction sold offering.

Property Observer gleans it sold on a 5% gross yield.

It was custom designed by architect Alexander Tzannes, with 7.9 metre frontage at 18 Transvaal Avenue.

It spans three levels over two separate strata lots.

Lot 1 is 164 square metres and the lot 2 penthouse is 272 square metres.

Barr headed Trent Nathan from the 1980s until 2002.
