Canberra currently has 20 suburbs where the median apartment price is recorded at under $400,000, according to RP Data.

A further 21 have median prices in the $400,000 to $500,000 bracket. The most expensive suburb in terms of apartment median prices was Yarralumla, with an $808,000 price tag.

Gross rental yields for apartments sit firmly in the 4% to 6%, with no notable exceptions.

Macquarie, which made the list below, recorded the highest rental yield, at 5.8%, with the lowest recorded rental yield being Deakin's 4.6%.
