AHL pubs sold to Charter Hall-HOTPLUS syndicate

Charter Hall Group has teamed up with the superannuation fund HOSTPLUS to buy a $603 million portfolio leased to the Woolworths-backed ALH Group.

The sale and leaseback deal involves 54 freehold properties on initial lease terms of 20 years, plus options.

The sale reflects an initial yield of 6.8%.

The majority are located in Victoria and Queensland.

The ALH Group is 75% owned by Woolworths and 25% by the Bruce Mathieson Hotel Group.

It operates some 329 venues and 545 retail liquor outlets across Australia.
