A cropping property in one of Australia's oldest wine regions, the Barossa Valley, has been listed for sale.

Located adjacent to the township of Shea-Oak Log, about 60 kilometres north-east of Adelaide, the aggregation comprises five separate titles totalling 249.48 hectares. The property is described as “highly productive land" and "suited to continuous cropping and minimum tillage practices”.

The vendor is the Brooks family and the properties are being offered in one line or separately by tender closing April 18.

CBRE’s Phil Schell, who is marketing the property, said "the Barossa Valley region is typically tightly held, therefore, the offer of cropping land such as this is expected to attract strong interest from a wide range of parties including owner occupiers and investors.”

“The current share-farming agreement that is in place for the 2014 season is testament to the aggregation’s future security as a profitable cropping operation.”

The property features main road access to all titles, benefits from extensive water supply to all paddocks, and is supported by annual rainfall of about 520 millimeters.
