Sydney’s south will be Sydney's busiest weekend auction region

There are 305 scheduled weekend auctions across Sydney this weekend, up from last weekend’s 289, according to Australian Property Monitors.

The numbers are even higher than the 262 auctioned over the same weekend a year ago.

Sydney’s south will be the busiest region with 59 scheduled auctions including five in Sans Souci and Bexley.

The inner west has quitened down a little with 43 auctions scheduled, compared to the 62 properties last weekend.

The city and east has 34 auctions scheduled with the upper north shore having 27.

Hurtsville with seven auctions is the busiest suburb this weekend, followed by six in Surry Hills.

Last weekend’s strong auction clearance rate in Sydney was 77.5%, almost identical to the previous week at 77.4%, the APM senior economist Dr Andrew Wilson noted.
