Melbourne was the capital city with the most  rental vacancies in February, according to the latest information from SQM Research.

The number of vacancies in Melbourne in February reflecting a 2.7% vacancy rate. There were  10,989 properties available for rent in February 2012.

The number of vacancies in Sydney in February reflecting a 1.6% vacancy rate. There were 8,008 properties available for rent in February 2012.

The number of vacancies in Brisbane in February reflecting a 1.8% vacancy rate. There were 4,665 properties available for rent in February 2012.

The number of vacancies in Adelaide in February reflecting a 1.3% vacancy rate. There were 2,219 properties available for rent in February 2012.

The number of vacancies in Perth in February reflecting a 0.9% vacancy rate. There were 973 properties available for rent in February 2012.
