Five-bedroom Killara home top sale of the week: RP Data

A five-bedroom Killara house that sold under the hammer for $4,225,000 was this week's top sale, according to RP Data. 

The house, which was sold by McConnell Bourn Lindfield agent Roslynne Rogers, in conjunction with McGrath agent Philip Waller, was originally put on the market in December last  year with $7.5 million hopes through Century 21. When it had not sold by May of this year with reduced price hopes of $6 million plus, the agents took over the listing with a price guide of $5.5 million plus, according to RP Data. By early July of this year the price guide had been taken off the listing.

Rogers says there were two registered bidders on Saturday, but only one willing to put up a hand. She says the vendor is happy with the sale price achieved.

The 2,700-square-metre property includes a full-sized tennis court, three-car garage and swimming pool. It last sold for $1.75  million in 1988.
