The estimated net rent per square metre that local designer HOSS will pay to take up retail space in a Melbourne CBD laneway in a deal negotiated by Savills Australia associate director of retail services Michael Di Carlo. HOSS, which has stores at Brighton, Hawksburn and Hawthorn, has agreed terms on a 32-square-metre space at 265 Little Collins Street on a five-year term. The store will be the fashion house’s first in the CBD. HOSS is aiming to be open for Christmas.

 


 

The amount of space that the national broadband network administrator NBN Co Limited will lease Rowville in Melbourne’s south east. The government organisation will lease 960 Stud Road property, which comprises a 953-square-metre office component and 3,533 square metres of warehouse space.  NBN is believed to be paying an annual rental of $360,000 net. According to Savills Australia divisional director industrial Lynton Williams, who negotiated the deal in conjunction with Lawson Real Estate, NBN will use the building for the assembly of networks for the rollout of the national broadband network. He says the property suits NBN’s administrative and factory functions as well as offering a good location for workforce and transport considerations.

 


 

Then annual rent excluding GST that Glyn Collins trading as Burwood Foot Clinic will pay to lease a 58.5-square-metre shop in the Burwood Plaza in the Burwood Town Centre, approximately 12 kilometres west of the Sydney CBD.  Burwood Plaza has a gross lettable area of approximately 12,400 square metres and is anchored by Woolworths Supermarket, Tong Li Asian Supermarket and a Best and Less department store. The property is owned by Centuria Property Funds, which also negotiated the transaction.

 


 

The amount of space that business information provider Bloomberg is considering leasing at the Dexus 1 Bligh Street flagship office tower, according to reports. Bloomberg currently leases about 1,200 square metres of space on level 36 of the 50-level Gateway Building at Macquarie Place, the wedge-shaped glass tower overlooking Circular Quay. Both buildings form part of the $13 billion property portfolio managed by Dexus. The floor plates in 1 Bligh Street are about 1,600 square metres.

 


 

The approximate amount electrical heating business Glen Dimplex Australia will pay to lease a 1,660-square-metre office and warehouse facility at Mt Waverley in Melbourne’s east.  The 1/21 Lionel Road property includes 860 square metres of fully fitted office space over two levels, an 800-square-metre, high bay, clear-span warehouse, a large loading canopy and 36 car parks. The deal was negotiated by Savills Australia’s Notting Hill office executive Daniel Kelly in conjunction with colleague Lynton Williams.
