The price paid by publican Peter Thompson to acquire the 1890s Friendly Inn Hotel in Kangaroo Valley in the NSW Southern Highlands at auction. The 14,440-square-metre property last sold for $3.367 million in August 2005 and has been in receivership since April 2011. It was marketed by Joel Fisher, Glenn Price, Greg Haines and Dugald Parsons from CBRE Hotel on behalf of receivers PKF Chartered.

 


 

The yield achieved on an industrial property at 72-74 Oatley Court, Belconnen in the ACT sold to Golbay Pty Ltd at auction. The 647-square-metre site comprises a single-storey service trades’ development containing two units, which are both leased on five-year leases until 2014. The campaign was steered by Michael Heather from Colliers on behalf of receivers PPB Advisory.

 


 

The amount Bunnings paid for the iconic Big Prawn and accompanying 2.5-hectare site in Ballina. It last traded in 1999 at $3.6 million. It cost $500,000 and took six months to erect in 1989-90. It had been listed through Michael Shay at LJ Hooker and North Coast Commercial Real Estate agent Troy Outerbridge.

 


The price paid for a vacant childcare centre previously licensed for 30 places in Matraville, Sydney that sold under the hammer through Paul Hunter of Cushman & Wakefield.  The centre is located at 36 Moorina Avenue in Matraville, in the eastern suburbs of Sydney. It was purchased by a private owner-operator. The property was sold on behalf of receivers and managers appointed by the mortgagee.
