Sales have been strong at the Cronulla Sharks' masterplan development of 600 apartments at Woolooware Bay.

Some 40 of the 50 apartments offered in The Pier sold on or before last Saturday's launch.

Prices started at $535,000 for the mix of one, two- and three bedroom waterfront apartments.

It took the total value of sales in the development to more than $32 million.

The Pier is the latest waterfront building within the Woolooware Bay project.

Sales were brought forward by around 12 months following stronger than expected sales of the first two stages where more than 400 apartments have sold.

Woolooware Bay is proving popular with Sutherland Shire locals, who have made up 95% of the buyers.
