Wishart, Brisbane home offering with office fetches $1.68 million

The weekend auction sale of a house in Wishart, in southeast of Brisbane, was a record auction price of $1.68 million for the street.

According to Australian Property Monitors, the two-level 2005-built house at 10 Saint George Court has five-bedrooms, three bathrooms with parking for three cars was sold through LJ Hooker Sunnybank Hill.

The house, which has a purpose-built business zone with an air-conditioned office, private entrance, kitchen and two storage rooms, is set on a land area of 3,831 square metres.

It last traded as a new house in 2006 for $910,000, as recorded by RP Data.

The median house price for Wishart is at $581,000 for August this year against $530,5000 in August 2013, however, records show it has jumped 15.5% over five years.

Rent in the area has a median of $480 a week.
