Mosman Park, in Perth's west, has seen radical growth in its real estate market over the years - One of Perth's major industrial centres up until 1970's, in 2009 the suburb registered the second highest average value for private sector houses in all of Australia.

The suburb sits on a peninsula at the mouth of the Swan river, with the Indian ocean lying to the west.

Mosman beach runs almost 600m along the coast.

Freestanding houses are the most common form of residence in the suburb, making up just under 60% of occupied dwellings.

Mosman Park Shopping Centre, on Monument st, represents the suburbs primary shopping precinct.

While consistently ranking as one of Perth's 10 most expensive suburbs, Mosman Park hosts a chaotic property market with median house values known to jump as much as $150,000 month to month. Apartments are equally subject to unpredictable peaks and troughs.
