West Footscray apartment is Melbourne's cheapest

A stylish West Footscray unit sold for $216,000 was Melbourne's cheapest auction, after being listed with a $190,000 to $209,000 price guide.

The ground-floor apartment, at 29/132 Rupert Street, features one bedroom and bathroom, plus off-street parking. 

Located just 10km from the CBD, the 1970s-built home last traded in 2005 for $112,000.

West Footscray's median unit price is $455,000.

Deon Dardha, from Hockingstuart Yarraville, sold the property.
