Werrington - where the Sydney first time buyers are most active

Werrington, some 48 kilometres west of the Sydney central business district, is the suburb where the grant recipient first time buyers are most active.

Buyers received a $7.48 million benefit - from grants and stamp duty exemptions - in their purchases over the past year.

Benefits totalling $235 million have been paid by the state government across NSW, according to figures over the past year obtained by Property Observer.

Werrington's median house price sits at a record $462,500 median, according to CoreLogic RP Data.
