Templestowe trophy home sold after re-auction
A Templestowe trophy home was sold mid-week following its second auction in the past two months.
Some 70 people turned up to see four bidders compete for the offering.
It was passed in at $2.5 million, and sold soon after at an undisclosed higher price on Wednesday night.
The Templestowe home had been knocked down at $3.35 million at its August auction when it had been listed with $2.4 million hopes.
The home was purchased 11 years ago for $870,000, but the current owners doubled the internal size, keeping in style with architect Phillip Mannerheim’s original vision, while creating an oriental inspired, feng shui home.
The 4 Winifred Court, Templestowe home, a four bedroom, five bathroom house on 3,986 square metres was relisted by Carmen Stenta at Ray White Manningham.
She told Property Observer that the August buyer had a death in the family following the purchase with their assets being frozen.
The August underbidder had bought elsewhere through Stenta.
