Sydney weekend auction levels set to rise again

Sydney auction levels are set to rise again this weekend with sellers rushing the late autumn market in record numbers, according to Domain's Andrew Wilson.

He said nearly 900 homes are scheduled for Sydney auction this weekend, up from the 778 held last weekend. 

"The upper north shore will again host the highest number of auctions of the Sydney regions this weekend with 136 closely followed by the inner west (132), the city and east (117), the south (102), the lower north (68), the south west (65), the northern beaches (61), Canterbury Bankstown (53), the north west (49), the west (48), the central coast (16) and the Blue Mountains with 5 auctions scheduled this weekend," he said.

"Maroubra is the most popular suburb in Sydney this weekend for auctions with 12 followed by Mosman, Ashfield, Surry Hills, Baulkham Hills each with 10 and a number of suburbs with 9 auctions listed including Castle Hill, Randwick, Leichhardt, Frenchs Forest, St Ives and Alexandria."
