Roofless mortgagee Denistone offering sold for $1.092 million

A gutted, roofless Denistone, NSW home has fetched $1,092,000 after being listed for sale by its mortgagee.

Located at 14 Anzac Avenue, Denistone the two bedroom one bathroom home came with an auction price guide of $950,000, some $100,000 higher than the home's 2013 sale price of $850,000.

Previously listed at $1.5 million by the owner in early 2017, the property is set on 799 sqm.

The house is located within close proximity of Ryde Hospital, Eastwood Plaza and close to Top Ryde City.

The listing, through Daniel Hennessy of McGrath Ryde was marketed as a knockdown with any rebuild having "scope to capture views over Parramatta River and Olympic Park".

The median price for a home in Denistone is $1.777 million, according to CoreLogic, which calculate its annual change in median price over the past 10 years as 8.1%.
