There were 170 Brisbane homes taken to weekend auction with a 50 percent preliminary clearance rate, higher than one year ago, when 44.9 per cent of the 151 properties taken to auction were successful.

The nation's cheapest sale was at 27 Kingfisher Ct, Regency Downs, west of Brisbane which sold for $235,000 in a mortgagee sale.

The three bedroom home on 4357 sqm had sold at $307,500 in 2010 and $265,000 in 2007.

It was initially offered for sale in 2015 with $380,000 hopes with the price expectations adjusted over the past two years.
