Onslow mortgagee offering asking price slashed to a third

A four bedroom house at Onslow, in coastal Western Australia, has been listed for sale by the mortgagee with a price guide of $269,000.

The property was previously offered for sale with $850,000 hopes through Crawford Realty Karratha in 2015, when its asking rentals were $1300.

Set on 405 sqm, the home had an asking price of $460,000 when it was first listed as a mortgagee sale in October 2017.

Situated at 12A Burt Close, the house comes with four bedrooms, two bathrooms, low maintenance gardens, and double carport.

It has been offered by Darren Cossill from Ray White Exmouth. 

Built in 2013, it is set in a town between Exmouth and Karratha.

Other features of the house include high ceilings, stone bench tops, ceiling fans, and AC throughout. 

The median price for a home in Onslow is $290,000 according to CoreLogic, which calculate its annual change in median price over the past 10 years as 2.9 percent.

However, in the past five years prices have fallen by 47 percent.
