Northern Beaches Sydney's strongest auction performer

Sydney's Northern Beaches edged out the Eastern Suburbs as the weekends top performer. 

Parramatta was the worst performer by a big margin, clearing just 36 percent of its stock on the weekend.

One of the priciest Northern Beaches homes to sell was near waterfront at 77 Prince Alfred Parade at Newport (above), which fetched $2.77 million.

The four bedroom, two bathroom home which last traded for $1.65 million in 2014 had a price guide of $2.5 million.

Sydney's clearance rate sat at a steady 66 percent, the second strongest in the country behind Tasmania.
