Wayne and Jane Hawkes - of the well-known Hawkes Racing family - sold their Essendon property last weekend for $63,000 over reserve.

There were four bidders on the Hawkes' modern three-bedroom house at 155 Bradshaw Street.

It is a three bedroom plus study home.

It sold for $1.158 million through agent Lou Rendina.

The building block was sold in 2008 at $915,000.
