Geelong scores second highest weekend auction clearance rate: CoreLogic

Wollongong has the highest weekend auction clearance rate, according to CoreLogic’s latest report.

The property data firm says that out of the 16 auctions in Wollongong 81.3% resulted in a successful outcome.

This is followed by Geelong with 72.7% and Sunshine Coast with 66.7%

A four bedroom house at 31 Clarendon Street, Newtown (above) was sold for $725,000.

The property was last sold in 1999 for $135,000.

A two bedroom house at 38 Kardinia Street, Belmont (below) was sold for $415,000.

Built in 1920 the property was last sold in 1976 for $24,900.
