Flemington one bedder comes in as Melbourne's cheapest: REIV

There were 953 auctions reported to the REIV on the weekend, with a clearance rate of 71% compared to 68% last weekend and 64% the same weekend last year.

The cheapest weekend sale was a $250,000 one bedroom apartment in Flemington. It was marketed with conservative $200,000 to $220,000 price guidance through Nathan Robinson at Brad Teal Real Estate.

It last sold at $196,000 in 2005. It had been listed earlier this year with private treaty $270,000 to $290,000 hopes unsuccessfully.

It was last available for rent in 2013 at a $250 a week asking rental.

Sales of other one bedrooms in the Princes Street block hit $306,000 in 2009, with courtyard. The most recent sale was $295,000 in 2013.

The dearest reported sale was in Box Hill.
