Film maker Mark Lewis sells Byron Bay trophy

Mark Lewis, director of the Cane Toads films, has finally sold his three bedroom Wategos cottage.

Set high above the beach amid the palm trees beneath the Cape Byron lighthouse, it secured $2,250,100.

There were three buyers at the end, but it took five years to find the chiropractor couple from Gippsland, Victoria through Unique Estates

The buying family who love surfing apparently subscribe to a Paleo diet. 

The 664 sqm Palm Valley Drive last traded at $2.13 million in 2004. It was listed back in 2010 with $3.5 million hopes.

The 1970s house has a large top floor deck for checking out the surf conditions.
