The top sale for the week ending August 28 was a five bedroom apartment in Sydney's Darling Point.

The property, 18A/21 Thornton Street, Darling Point, sold for $6.3 million through Richardson & Wrench Double Bay. It last traded for $475,000 when purchased in 1980 by the late Singapore property tycoon Cho Poon Chow, so seven percent annual price growth over the 36 years.
