Around $700,000 was being tipped for the latest offering in the 1920s Potts Point building, Gowrie Gate.

The 504/115 Macleay Street apartment boasted quality finishes along with Bridge and Opera House views.

The 54 square metres apartment was sold by Vicki Laing and Simon Polito at Laing Real Estate who secured the $797,000 under the hammer.

The apartment was designed by residential architect Daniel Boddam-Whetham and was shortlisted for the 2011 RAIA Interior Architecture prize.

Its levies were administration $233 per quarter and the sinking fund at $539 per quarter.
