Chermside secures Brisbane's cheapest weekend auction result

The most affordable residential property to change hands at the Brisbane auctions last weekend was $350,000 in Chermside, 10 kilometres north of the riverside city.

The three-bedroom house at 621 Webster Road was on a large block of 632 square metres and sold through agent Burton & Ryan Property Agent, according to APM.      

The house was last traded in November 1976 for $32,250.

RP Data sets the median rental for a Chermside house at $388 per week.

The median house price for August this year was $470,000, down from the median house price of August 2013 of $560,000. 

The house shares its location with one of Queensland’s largest shopping centres - Westfield Chermside.
