Blacktown leads Sydney's busy auction weekend

Blacktown in Sydney's west was the New South Wales capital's strongest performing sub-region, scoring a clearance rate of 80 percent.

Sydney cleared 66 percent of its stock at the weekend.

One of the priciest Blacktown homes to sell was a five bedroom home that sold through Starr Partners agents Daniel Formosa and Jake Webster (above.)

The home at 45 Kurrajong Crescent fetched $830,000 after having a bidders guide of $795,000.

Sydney's Eastern Suburbs, which had seen figures in the late 70 percent to early 80's, could only manage to shift just over 70 percent of its stock.
