A late Victorian worker’s cottage in Melbourne's Abbotsford has been listed for October 31 auction.

More than $800,000 is expected by its Biggin & Scott listing agents Andrew Crotty and Claire Parkes.

The freestanding 106 Park Street home has been transformed with its new living areas taking advantage of the six metre width and high ceilings.

It is lit by skylights and doors that lead to a checkerboard-paved courtyard.

There are two bedrooms, both with built-in robes. There is a central modern bathroom.

The 138 sqm block has potential for off-street parking from the rear lane.

CoreLogic RP Data puts the suburb house median at $775,000.
