A Djugun home near Broome in Western Australia has been sold by the mortgagee in possession for $424,000, more than $50,000 less than what it sold for brand new over a decade ago.

The 700 sqm Banicoot Loop land parcel in the Roebuck Estate traded for $144,000 in 2005 before the four bedroom home was built a year later.

The home sold for $476,000 in 2006.

In 2012 it was listed with $685,000 hopes and didn't find a buyer.

Two years ago the home sought $549,000. Its most recent campaign through Ray White's Monique Bowen had it listed at $455,000.

A buyer was found in 25 days.
