A four bedroom house in Mount Louisa, a suburb in Queensland's Townsville, has just sold for $290,000.

It has seen a loss of $121,700 from its 2015 sale price of $411,700.

Michael Martini of Harcourts sold the property.

It was on the market for around 150 days initially having a $335,000 asking price.

Located at 44 Roosevelt Loop the four bedrooms two bathroom home is located in the Liberty Rise estate.

Set on 482 sqm, the property was listed for rent in February last year at $370/W and in 2015 at $360/W.

The suburb's median house price sits at $340,000 according to CoreLogic, who calculate its annual change in median price over the past 10 years as -2%.

Its median days on market currently sits at 90 days.
