Sydney values drop 4.5 percent over financial year: CoreLogic

Sydney's dwelling values dropped 4.5 percent over the last financial year, according to CoreLogic's June Home Value Index. 

The declines were topped by Darwin, which saw a 7.7 percent decrease.

The rest of New South Wales continued to show strength, with dwelling values increasing 3.2 percent.

The hardest hit areas in Sydney have been Ryde, the Inner West and the Baulkham Hills areas, which have all seen their values decline over seven percent.

Nine of the ten worst performing capital city SA4 regions came from the surrounding areas of Sydney.
