Mirvac's Tullamore community in Melbourne's Doncaster features a series of luxury homes on the former fifth hole of the Eastern Golf Course.

Named the Emerald Precinct, the '8 Edition' homes are priced at $1.85 million and feature Tesla Powerwall 2 batteries and Evergen solar technology.

Mirvac’s General Manager of Residential Victoria, Elysa Anderson, said the Doncaster market was performing well and producing a strong demand for large contemporary properties to suit families, including those with multiple generations living at one address.

“As a well-established blue chip suburb, Doncaster continues to attract a range of purchasers, however those looking for a large and modern luxury home have previously been under serviced,” she said.

Mirvac has identified a gap in the market for luxury homes to cater for the needs of local families who want a quality, low maintenance new home, with a flexible design allowing for zoned living in a superb natural environment.

"These contemporary luxury home designs were complemented by a diverse mix of housing types across Tullamore, catering for a range of purchasers.

“Tullamore is a once in a lifetime place to call home, a place to secure property for future family generations.

"We felt such a striking setting, such as the rolling greens of a golf course, commanded homes that respect the retreat-like feel and cater to future family needs and multigenerational living.

Andrew La, National Housing Design Director at Mirvac said with such a rare and unique site we wanted to ensure we were designing homes that families could see themselves living in for a lifetime.

"We undertook extensive research into how homes are used and what our buyers were looking for to ensure their dream home today continues well into the future,” he said.

“We looked at the way home use changes over the years, from having children’s rooms on the upper level near parents when they are young to allowing them to have their own downstairs retreat when they are older.”

“We wanted to ensure maximum enjoyment of the site and the reserve is effectively a Tullamore homeowner’s backyard,” said La, whose team was stepping out floor plans from day one to ensure windows were in the best places, maximising light in winter and blocking harsh sun in summer.

Mirvac has over 40 years of experience and every day we are looking at data and talking to people about how they use their homes,” said La. “These premium homes have been created to adapt to life stages from nuclear to growing families with facilities for all ages.”

The design-led floorplans offer refined luxurious living and include innovative sustainable features with the integration of the CSIRO-backed Evergen solar generation technology, and the  to reduce energy bills and generate power using renewable energy.
