Fresh Sydney property listings up by 14%: CoreLogic

Sydney has the highest growth in the number of new listings, according to CoreLogic’s latest report.

The property data firm says that the number of new listings has grown to 6,740, a rise of 14.2% as at early August.

This is more than Melbourne’s growth of 9.4%.

Canberra has the lowest boost in activity with only a 1.8% rise in the number of new listings.

Meanwhile Brisbane, Perth and Darwin continue to see a fall in the number of new listings with Perth the highest with a drop of 11.7%.

A three bedroom apartment at 232/569-581 George Street, Sydney (above) has been listed for $1.68 million.

It last sold in 2006 for $575,000.

A one bedroom apartment at 207/187 Kent Street, Sydney (below) has been listed for between $875,000 to $900,000.
