Geelong scores second-highest weekend auction clearance rate for regions: CoreLogic

Wollongong had the highest auction clearance rate in the regions for the weekend, according to CoreLogic’s latest report.

The property data firm says that out of the 38 auctions in Wollongong 79% resulted in a successful outcome.

This was followed by Geelong with 75% and Sunshine Coast with 54.6%.

The Hunter region had the lowest auction clearance rate with only 46.2% of its 26 auctions cleared.

A two bedroom house at 27 Collins Street, Geelong West (above) was sold on the weekend for $687,500.

Similarly a three bedroom house at 20 Elderslie Terrace, Newtown (below) was sold on the weekend for $640,000.
