The 29-storey tower at the Fishermans Bend, Victoria residential development Gravity has topped out 15 months after construction began.

The 465ha precinct, Gravity, was designed by Plus Architecture.

Ian Briggs, director of Plus Architecture, said Fishermans Bend is new territory and they are only now starting to see the precinct materialise.

“As lovers of this city and advocates of positive, design-led development, we feel very fortunate to have been entrusted with Fishermans Bend’s first building,” he said.

“Our team worked tirelessly to create a design of significance, with a façade that would be both distinctive and complementary to Melbourne’s city skyline."

Setting an example for the precinct, Gravity makes the most of its prominent corner location on Montague and Gladstone streets, with a design that uses the changing light of day to project a dynamic visual presence and establish a new landmark.

Gravity will feature a grand lobby and exclusive rooftop complete with a teppanyaki grill and bar, spa, outdoor cinema and designer lounge.
