Greaton has appointed Sydney builder Ceerose to build its landmark $260 million Oxford Central project in Epping.

Around 1900 workers will be employed during the two year construction phase.

The Oxford Central project at 30 - 42 Oxford Street will comprise 252 luxurious apartments spread across two 17 storey towers, 292 car spaces and 625 sq m of retail on the ground level.

A two storey heritage building located on the site will also be retained as part of the retail precinct.

Nicho Teng, managing director of Greaton said Oxford Central was Greaton’s first residential development in Sydney.

The Oxford Central site was earmarked due to its strategic location in the epicentre of the state government’s plans to invest millions in re-developing Epping Town Centre and major transport infrastructure in the suburb.

Epping Town Centre and train station are 150 metres from Oxford Central.

Epping has rail, road and bus networks to many major shopping precincts, universities and employment hubs including Macquarie Park, Macquarie Shopping Centre, Macquarie University, Chatswood CBD, St Leonards, North Sydney and the Sydney CBD.

Epping train station will also link with the future North West line to the North Shore and Northern train lines.

Edward Doueihi, the managing director of Ceerose said early works were expected to start in April and completion anticipated for early 2019.

Over 75 per cent of Oxford Central’s apartments are two and three bedrooms with a significant number boasting views across the city skyline and Epping.

An open air café area and public plaza will feature alongside the heritage building which fronts the development and will be accessible to the public.

Residents will also enjoy large areas of communal open space on the ground level which include recreational and BBQ facilities.
