Golden Age Development has lodged plans for a redevelopment in Melbourne's Box Hill.

The proposed development, 517-521 Station Street, is to feature two 18 level buildings and a six level building, designed by DKO Architecture.

The mixed-use redevelopment will include boutique hotel, childcare facility, recreational gym and commercial office and consulting suites.

Jeff Xu, Golden Age managing director, said the site would enable a complete retail offering for the area, complementing the three levels of retail we are launching at our neighbouring Sky One development at 545 Station Street.

“We are extremely appreciative of the time and effort the City of Whitehorse has spent with us in developing the proposed scheme, which we believe would raise the level of amenity and services in this much loved Box Hill Central precinct," he said.

"Not only would this project allow us to provide a significant amount of open public space, retail and entertainment for the community, it would also enable us to build a new and much larger childcare centre, which could accommodate significantly more spaces than the existing facility."
