Derwent Valley resales at loss still high, but Hobart sales are increasingly profiable: CoreLogic Pain and Gain

Hobart recorded 7.6 percent of houses and 10.9 percent of 
units reselling at a loss over the September
 2016 quarter, according to CoreLogic's latest Pain and Gain report.

The property data firm says that the occurrence of resales at a 
loss has fallen over the quarter for houses and units in Hobart.

The Hobart (5.9 percent), Clarence (9.1 percent) and Kingborough (11.0 percent) council areas had the 
lowest proportion of loss-making resales over the quarter.

The instances of resale loss were much higher in: Brighton (18.2 percent), Derwent Valley (17.4 percent) and Sorell (15.0 percent).
