Clarendon Vale tops list for cheapest Hobart houses: CoreLogic
Hobart's cheapest innercity suburb saw Clarendon Vale have the lowest median value for both houses within 10 km of the Hobart CBD in 2016, according to CoreLogic data.
Clarendon Vale in the Clarence municipality saw around 20 annualised property deals with a sold median value of $155,655.
For units Montrose, in the Glenorchy municipality, had 13 transactions in units with a sold median value of $197,395 till September 2016, according to CoreLogic’s Best of the Best 2016 report.
Clarence and Glenorchy dominate the top 10 list for lowest median values within 10 km of the CBD for both houses and units.
In Clarendon Vale, Property Observer found a three-bedroom house at 6 Dawn Court, Clarendon Vale, Tas 7019 (above) which sold in August 2016 for $159,000, a tad higher than the median price.
In Montrose, a two-bedroom unit at 2/58 Montrose Road, Montrose, (below) sold for $195,000 in May 2016.
