Racing carnival interrupts spring property selling season

The REIV is expecting about 550 auctions in 240 suburbs this week.
The top auction locations this week are Brunswick and Frankston (9 auctions), followed by Craigieburn, Glen Waverley, Melbourne, Mount Waverley and Noble Park with eight auctions in each.
Last weekend: 1,258 auctions (exc. 17 postponed and 21 withdrawn)
This weekend: 550 auctions
This weekend last year: 68% from 1,527 auctions
The number of auction sales remains high, with more than 1,000 homes selling at auction last week.
