Hobart's Sorrell, Brighton, Derwent Valley hit by highest proportion of losing resales: CoreLogic RP Data

Some 12.6 percent of Hobart homes resold over the September 2015 quarter were at a loss compared to 14.1 percent at the end of the previous quarter and 15.7 percent a year ago, according to the most recent CoreLogic RP Data pain and gain report.

Across the council areas, Sorrell (25.6 percent), Brighton (19.5 percent) and Derwent Valley (18.5 percent) had the highest proportion of loss-making resales over the quarter.

The proportion of loss-making resales was lowest in Hobart (6.0 percent), Kingborough (6.5 percent) and Glenorchy (14.0 percent) council areas.
