The White House in old Byron Bay on Kingsley Street, listed with $3 million plus hopes, has been sold at $3.25 million pre-auction.

Qantas captain Pete Chaseling and his equestrienne wife, Angela and their three children are moving to be closer to family.

The architectural design was inspired by the work of Isay Weinfeld.

The four bedroom solar passive home has a north facing back yard of level lawn, covered timber decking, pool and vegie garden on its 1015 sqm holding.

Ruth Gotterson from Unique Estates and Nick Dunn at McGrath had the listing.

Kingsley Street has seen sales up to $3.5 million.
